New delhi-Talent Ka Maha Utsav founder, Amit R Agarwal, forges creative-synergies with Thai Producers.Talent Ka Maha Utsav Pre-Season made solid inroads at the 77th Cannes Film Festival held from May 14, 2024 to May 25, 2024 with screening of five-films made under Cinema For Cause on diverse issues like Covid-19, Cleanliness, Environment & Energy Conservation, Parenting, Education & Mental Health.Amit R Agarwal the founder of #TKMU or Talent Ka Maha Utsav said that he has been coming to Cannes from 2009 when only about 30 to 40 Indians came, today after 15-years Cannes sees about 500 Indians every year, and they are not just filmmakers or top actors, but also influencers and aspiring actors and film-makers that want to ‘up’ their profile.Rekha Vohraa of Rekhaa Vohraa foundation and on the board of Talent Ka Maha Utsav said that cinema is a very powerful tool, but how many films are made responsibly to better the society, almost none. “I really liked the idea, when Amit told me about taking concrete steps to better the society through films. It is time we think are we making the future generation responsible citizens”.Agarwal said he is very happy with the response the films got at the Cannes Film Festival. He said this was his best Cannes, as he got concrete deals from producers in the US, Australia and Thailand. “I like to mix my commercial films with Cinema for Cause films and I am very happy that I turned meetings into solid business”.On being queried about parties and red carpet — Agarwal said he has done them ’n’ number of times, “so I cut them to only two red-carpets and about five parties in a day”.At the Thai Night with one of the actresses showcasing her films @ Cannes Agarwal said that he will be back in Cannes in 2025 to kick-off Season 1 of Talent Ka Maha Utsav. On being queried about one achievement that he takes away from the 2024 edition of Canes Film Festival, “I have a complete eco-system of production, distribution and marketing of films, I am helping other producers, filmmakers and actors as well to achieve more than what they aspire for.
