Phnom Penh, Cambodia – 19th March 2025As part of the Trade & Investment Mission: Cambodia 2025, the Global Trade & Technology Council (India) (GTTCI), in association with IFBIC, successfully hosted the India-Cambodia Business Meet at Olympia City Hotel by Dara, Phnom Penh. The high-profile event served as a crucial platform for strengthening economic and trade relations between India and Cambodia, fostering new investment opportunities across key sectors.The business meet witnessed the esteemed presence of senior dignitaries from both nations, including:
• HE Mr. Samheng Boros, Minister attached to the Prime Minister, Government of Cambodia
• HE Mr. Kim Khorn Long, Personal Advisor to Samdech Prime Minister, Kingdom of Cambodia
• HE Mr. Ung Sean, Former Ambassador of Cambodia to India
• Mr. Richhpal Singh, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India

Key Highlights of the Event
The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President – GTTCI, who emphasized the council’s commitment to fostering international business collaborations and highlighted the growing trade synergies between India and Cambodia.
In her keynote address, Dr. Rashmi Saluja, Chairperson – GTTCI, spoke about the importance of economic diplomacy and how strategic partnerships can pave the way for robust trade and investment growth. She outlined GTTCI’s vision of facilitating seamless trade between businesses of both nations. Speeches from the Distinguished Guests
• HE Mr. Samheng Boros underscored Cambodia’s pro-business policies and highlighted the government’s focus on attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) from Indian enterprises. He welcomed Indian businesses to explore opportunities in Cambodia’s manufacturing, tourism, and infrastructure sectors.
• HE Mr. Kim Khorn Long spoke about the historical ties between India and Cambodia and stressed the need to expand bilateral trade volumes, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and information technology.
• HE Mr. Ung Sean shared insights into Cambodia’s evolving trade policies and how deeper engagement between business chambers can accelerate trade and investment. He praised GTTCI’s efforts in bringing business leaders together for such meaningful discussions.
• Mr. Richhpal Singh, representing the Embassy of India, reaffirmed India’s commitment to strengthening trade and economic ties with Cambodia. He highlighted various government initiatives supporting Indian businesses venturing into international markets.Industry & Chamber of Commerce Participation
The event received immense support from leading Chambers of Commerce, including:
• INCHAM, SCC, CanCham, PhilCham Cambodia and CCI France Cambodge Representatives from these chambers engaged in discussions on trade facilitation, market expansion, and investment collaborations between Indian and Cambodian enterprises.Networking & Business Collaboration Opportunities
A presentation of GTTC Insights was made to the chambers and business guests, highlighting market trends and trade prospects. This was followed by a felicitation ceremony for the dignitaries, chamber representatives, and distinguished delegates.
The event concluded with a networking dinner, allowing delegates, government representatives, and business leaders to forge valuable partnerships.This highly successful engagement reinforces GTTCI’s pivotal role in global trade diplomacy and opens new avenues for Indo-Cambodian economic cooperation.
