Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, May 26, 2025: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the World Utilities Congress 2025 will kick off tomorrow at ADNEC Abu Dhabi. The conference is hosted by Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) and organized by dmg events under the theme “Innovation for a New Era in Utilities.”
The conference is expected to attract more than 18,000 visitors, with over 1,400 specialists and 500 speakers and experts from the utilities sector from around the world participating. Discussions will focus on driving sustainable growth through the use of renewable energy, technology, and cross-sector collaboration.This year’s edition features a high-profile panel of speakers and decision-makers addressing pressing issues facing water and energy systems around the world, including His Excellency Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the UAE; His Excellency Eng. With global electricity consumption expected to more than double by 2050, strategic sessions focus on building resilient existing grids powered by digital solutions, financing major infrastructure projects, and providing efficient and affordable utility services in an increasingly complex operating environment.
The conference program focuses on technologies shaping the next phase of the sector, from artificial intelligence and advanced water desalination technologies to decentralized energy systems and clean hydrogen applications.
