New Delhi– The Embassy of Nepal, in association with the Global Trade and Technology Council (India) (GTTCI) and Lions Club Delhi Veg, hosted a vibrant Holi celebration at the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi, bringing together members of the diplomatic community, distinguished guests, and friends of Nepal and India to celebrate the festival of colours in an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie. Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President of GTTCI and Lions Club Delhi Veg, warmly welcomed the distinguished ambassadors, diplomats, and esteemed guests, expressing his appreciation for their gracious presence and for joining the celebrations in the spirit of friendship, cultural harmony, and goodwill. He remarked that festivals such as Holi and Faag beautifully reflect the shared cultural ethos of India and Nepal and provide a meaningful platform for the diplomatic community to come together in a spirit of friendship, goodwill, and mutual respect.The celebration was graciously hosted under the leadership of His Excellency Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, Ambassador of Nepal to India, who welcomed the guests and highlighted the
cultural significance of the festival. Holi, widely celebrated across India as the festival of colours, is also observed in Nepal as Faag, symbolizing joy,
renewal, and the spirit of friendship that transcends borders.
The gathering reflected the strong cultural bonds between India and Nepal and served as an opportunity for diplomats and dignitaries to come together in celebration of shared traditions. The event was attended by the Ambassadors of Fiji, Cuba, and Vietnam, along with diplomats from Embassies of Russia,
Gabon, Tajikistan, Belarus, Madagascar, and Kyrgyzstan, who joined in the festivities and cultural exchange while members of the expatriate community from Iran, Italy, the United States, and Spain participated with enthusiasm, adding to the vibrant international spirit of the occasion.
