Lions Club Delhi Veg Celebrates Global Service Week on Environment Protection and talks on mental health

New Delhi-Lions Club Delhi Veg, under the leadership of Lion Gaurav Gupta, celebrated Global Service Week on Environment Protection, an initiative observed by Lions International across the globe, through a meaningful and engaging program focused on environmental awareness and mental well-being.The event aimed to highlight the importance of protecting the environment while also nurturing inner well-being as a holistic approach to building a healthier society.     Dr. Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, President of Lions Club Delhi Veg, shared valuable insights on environmental conservation and practical tips that individuals can adopt in their daily lives to contribute towards a greener and healthier planet. Adding a unique dimension to the program, Lion Rashmi Ahuja, a healer, introduced the concept of mental healing, emphasising the connection between inner balance and the external environment. Lion Acharya Neetu Sharma conducted a guided meditation session, helping participants experience calmness and mental clarity. Lion Rayna Juneja, Lion Navrattan Aggarwal, Director Bikanerwala, and Lion Sneha Routrey also shared their perspectives on mental health and well-being. Lion Dr. Shaista Khan highlighted ways to heal the body and maintain freshness and energy in daily life. The program was efficiently coordinated by Project Chairperson Lion Mohit Jindal, who also graciously hosted the event at Yello Chilli Restaurant, contributing significantly to its success. On the occasion, members were honoured for their outstanding contributions and remarkable work carried out during the past year. These recognitions were conferred by Lions International District 321A1, under the leadership of District Governor Lion Onkar Singh Renu, PMJF, and were presented by Zone Chairperson Lion Kapil Khandelwal. The new leadership team for the Lionistic Year July 2026 to June 2027 was also announced. Lion Anuj Agarwal will serve as President, Lion Rashmi Ahuja as Secretary, and Lion Gopal Krishna Khandelwal as Treasurer. Lion Gaurav Goyal, Lion Rajesh Kumar Pandey, and Lion Indrajit Ghosh will take charge as Vice Presidents. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and reinforced the message that environmental responsibility and mental well-being go hand in hand in building a better society.
