GTTCI Co-Hosts Viet Nam–India Digital Economy & Cross-Border E-Commerce Forum in Noida

Noida-The Global Trade & Technology Council (India) successfully co-hosted the “Viet Nam – India Digital Economy and Cross-Border E-Commerce Forum” on 18th May 2026 at Marwah Studios, Noida, in collaboration with the Trade Office – Embassy of Viet Nam in India, the Vietnam E-Commerce and Digital Economy Agency (IDEA), and Marwah Studios. The forum brought together government officials, business leaders, technology experts, startups, logistics providers, chambers of commerce, and industry stakeholders from both nations to strengthen bilateral cooperation in digital trade and cross-border e-commerce.The forum highlighted the growing strategic partnership between India and Viet Nam and reaffirmed the shared commitment of both countries to achieving the bilateral trade target of USD 25 billion by 2030. Discussions focused on emerging opportunities in digital economy cooperation, innovation-led commerce, fintech solutions, logistics integration, AI-driven trade facilitation, startup collaboration, and SME internationalization.The event commenced with opening remarks by Mr. Bui Trung Thuong, Trade Counsellor, Embassy of Viet Nam, who emphasized the transformative role of digital economy and e-commerce in global trade and the importance of
strengthening technological and commercial cooperation between the two countries.
Representing GTTCI, Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder of GTTCI, delivered the welcome remarks and highlighted the Council’s commitment towards promoting international trade partnerships, innovation ecosystems, and business connectivity between India and global markets.
He emphasized that platforms like this forum play a crucial role in enabling MSMEs, startups, and enterprises to explore new international opportunities through digital transformation.The forum featured insightful presentations from distinguished speakers and industry leaders including
representatives from the Vietnam E-Commerce and Digital Economy Agency (IDEA), Invest India, WASME, Entrepreneurs Association of India, logistics companies, startup founders, and business associations. Speakers discussed the rapid growth of the digital economy in both countries and explored practical pathways for accelerating cross-border e-commerce partnerships.
Interactive networking sessions and business discussions enabled participating enterprises to exchange ideas and explore collaborations in areas such as:
• Cross-border e-commerce platforms
• Digital payment systems and fintech
• AI and digital transformation
• Logistics and supply chain solutions
• Startup and SME collaboration
• Media and digital branding
The forum witnessed active participation from e-commerce companies, technology firms, importers, exporters, trade bodies, financial institutions, and media representatives, creating a vibrant platform for business matchmaking and international networking.
