International Day of Hope Celebrated Jointly with GTTCI; Meaningful Discussion Organized                                                                                                                      New Delhi -The installation ceremony of Lions Club Delhi Veg was held with great dignity on July 12, 2026, at the Ethiopian Cultural Center, Chanakyapuri. The event not only welcomed and felicitated the new District Governor, Sandeep Kumar, and his team, but also saw District Governor Sandeep Kumar administering the oath of office to the club’s new President, Anuj Agarwal (a distinguished educationist, journalist, and social activist), and his team. Club Charter President Gaurav Gupta expressed his gratitude to all members and the district team for making the installation ceremony a success and co-hosted the entire program alongside the newly elected Secretary, Rashmi Ahuja. He noted that the synergy displayed by everyone during the event was appreciated by the entire district team, adding, “I am confident that all members will continue to take the club forward in the same spirit.” Senior member of the club and famous social worker Ramawtaar Kila was the chairman of Installation ceremony. Club new treasurer Gopal Krishan Khandelwal facilitated all guests from district team.District Governor Sandeep Kumar elaborated on the objectives and programs of the Lions Club, apprised each office-bearer of their responsibilities, and assured them of the club’s full support. Senior officials and former governors—including Omkar Singh Renu, Tejpal Singh Khillan, N.K. Gupta, Dr. Pratibha Agarwal, and Rakesh Jaggi—also addressed the gathering. The club’s new President, Anuj Agarwal, expressed his gratitude to senior officials—Gaurav ji, Kapil ji, and Sanjay ji—as well as all senior club members for his election and for placing their trust in him. In his address, he stated that the team is firmly committed to translating into reality the expectations and promises articulated by the respected District Governor Sandeep ji and the entire district team. With Lions Club Veg Delhi having established itself as the most prestigious branch of the Lions Club—not just in Delhi-NCR but across the entire country—assuming the role of President is a matter of great pride as well as a task involving significant responsibility. I am fully confident that our team and I will strive to meet this challenge with utmost sincerity. We are committed to upholding the legacy established by our Founder Chairman, Mr. Gaurav Gupta, along with past presidents and their teams, and we aim to take it to even greater heights. We believe in the philosophy of “Life is a party—enjoy every moment” and the “Art of Giving,” as well as in the value of social and business networking. In the coming year, we will thrive professionally, have plenty of fun, and actively engage in social service. The philosophy of life for us Sanatanis is defined by the concept of “Shubh-Labh”—meaning a form of gain or prosperity that ensures the well-being of everyone alongside oneself. Om Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niramayah, Sarve Bhadrani Pashyantu, Ma Kashchid-Duhkha-Bhag-Bhavet; Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti (May all be happy, may all be free from illness, may all witness auspicious events, and may no one suffer). We wholeheartedly embrace the core motto of Lions International, “We Serve,” and the District’s motto, “Think Positive – Think Big.” On this occasion, Anuj Agarwal announced the club’s various projects and their respective committee members, noting that the club would primarily focus on eight service areas: Vision, Diabetes, Environment, Hunger, and Childhood Cancer, alongside projects dedicated to disaster relief, youth empowerment, and humanitarian work.

Prior to this event, to mark “International Day of Hope,” Lions Club Delhi Veg—in collaboration with the Global Trade and Technology Council, India (GTTCI)—organized an inspiring panel discussion on the theme “The Transformative Power of Hope.” The program was effectively moderated by Lion Sanjay Kumar Agarwal. The discussion skillfully linked diverse fields such as spirituality, numerology, health, radiology, and holistic medicine to the core message of hope. Hema Gulati, Acharya Neetu Sharma, Dr. Shaista Khan, Dr. Pradeep Sharma, and Mamta Soni shared experiences from their respective fields, explaining how their work inspires people to overcome life’s challenges, cultivate a positive mindset, and lead more meaningful, balanced lives. To make the event more interactive and experiential, Lion Sanjay Kumar Agarwal conducted a special “Energy Transmission Activity,” allowing participants to experience the energy within themselves and feel the flow of positive energy and inner strength. All attendees embraced this engaging activity with great enthusiasm and praised it wholeheartedly. On this occasion, a powerful message was also conveyed that true service is not limited merely to material assistance; rather, kindling the lamp of hope in people’s hearts, fostering positivity, and instilling self-confidence constitute the highest form of service. On this occasion UNESCO director Dr Benno Boer, Ethiopian journalist Ms Nebiha and Iranian  Dr Leila also expressed their valuable views.Senior club members Amod Agarwal, Rajesh Pandey, and Indrajit Ghosh played a pivotal role in the event’s smooth execution.
