Ministry of Finance & Bank of Thailand Unveil Strategic Vision for Thailand’s Economic Future

Bangkok-Dr.Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, delivered a keynote vision on “Unlocking the New Regional Growth Engine with Thailand’s New Horizon.” Joining him was Mr. Vitai Ratanakorn, Governor of the Bank of Thailand, who shared his insights on “Thailand’s New Horizons: Building Trust and Resilience in the Financial System,” aiming to elevate potential and build sustainable confidence in the country’s economic future at the Bangkok Business Summit 2026, held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) on September 3, 2026.

During the event, the World Bank Group launched the “Building Thailand’s Future Today” report, presenting a roadmap and strategic vision to help Thailand transition toward higher-value economic activities and create more high-quality jobs.

This report launch comes as Thai public and private sector leaders actively discuss long-term economic restructuring ahead of the 2026 IMF-World Bank Group Annual Meetings, scheduled for October 12–18, 2026, at QSNCC, Bangkok.

This summit serves as an official prelude to the milestone global financial conference, bringing together over 15,000 policymakers, economists, government representatives, business executives, and international media from 191 countries to exchange views on the future of the global economy.
